Buy whichever crops you can afford at the start of each season, but look for crops that cost little and sell for noticeably more. If you can wait, prioritize crops that regrow every few days over one-time harvests.

Unlocking the seed maker lets you turn regrowing crops into sellable seeds for extra profit. Later on, ornamental crop items unlocked through the Caldarus perk become one of the best money makers in the game.
